The whole progressive world is focused on Ukraine: a struggle between the light and the darkness is going on. Our country is gaining its freedom, independence, and the right to be fully integrated into the civilized world community. Ukraine is not just endless fields of wheat or ferroalloys and iron ore. First and foremost, it is people - both Ukrainians by birth and representatives of other nationalities for whom it has become a motherland. Over the centuries of war and enslavement, the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, and now the Russian Federation have often appropriated or erased names, and destroyed talented Ukrainians: scientists, artists, philosophers, doctors, athletes. They are the ones who are moving Ukraine forward, who gave the world leading inventions, creative achievements, and records. Our calendar is dedicated to these historical figures. We are launching a new project with an educational purpose, because we want to remind and reveal these glorious names to the whole world. We were inspired by existing projects on the same topic. We were inspired by ordinary Ukrainians, our contemporaries, who are now creating a new history of Ukraine.
