We are glad to announce that the TCD company has won the competition “Ukrainian label – 2022”– the main event of the packaging industry of Ukraine, at which the most outstanding projects in the field of technology, innovation and label design are determined.

This year, at once two labels developed by TCD design studio’s specialists were recognized as the best. These are the label Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut TM Prince Trubetskoi Winery and wine bottle label of Gevelli TM by Lionidzis Zvari

The label for Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut TM Prince Trubetskoi Winery is made in a classic style on a dark background. It has a unique, pleasant to the touch relief surface. The label is printed on pearlescent high-gloss self-adhesive paper. The label design is supplemented with polygraphic effects – stencil varnishing, which allowed to create a relief on the surface, and hot stamping with gold, which highlighted the wine name and the manufacturer’s emblem. The label for the wine bottle of the Gevelli TM from Lionidzis Zvari is designed for Georgian wine intended for the foreign market. The conceptual element of the design is the image of hoopoe – a bird that is a symbol of Israel, the importing country. The label is printed on self-adhesive material, complemented by hot stamping with silver and stencil varnishing. A dark label with such polygraphic effects on a dark bottle of wine looks harmonious and original. Due to the design created on the contrast of images, colors and textures, the label literally attracts the eye. More information here.

This year’s competition was held under special, very difficult conditions. While preparing for it, no one could even imagine what stormy events would take place in the country. Some of the participating companies have been badly affected by the hostilities. But the event organizers, Club Packagers of Ukraine and Kyiv International Contract Fair, made every effort to hold the competition. The companies Windmöller & Hölscher, “Heidelberg Printing Machines Ukraine”, Packaging and Environmental Coalition of Ukraine, and packaging associations of Poland and Latvia also participated in its implementation.
